The only way you can purchase an official replica medal is from the U.S. Mint at the link above.
Free medals are not available. With many millions of women joining the workforce as Rosie the Riveters during WWII, it is not feasible for Congress to distribute medals to all Rosies, passed or living. One Congressional Gold Medal was struck, and was unveiled and presented symbolically and collectively to all the Rosies at the ceremony in Washington on April 10, 2024, and thereafter will be displayed at the National Museum of American History.
On April 10, 2024 in Washington D.C., the Rosie the Riveters of WWII were awarded a Congressional Gold Medal.
This honor represents many years of work on the part of American Rosie the Riveter Association (ARRA) members Mae Krier and the late Phyllis Gould, a couple of real WWII Rosies who proved that, “We Can Do It!”
Several Rosie the Riveters from Michigan, all ARRA members and around 100 years old, were in attendance at the official ceremony at the United States Capitol, by invitation from the Speaker of the House.
Says Jeannette Gutierrez, president of ARRA’s largest Michigan Chapter, “It’s wonderful to see the Rosie the Riveters finally get the recognition they deserve, and we’re so happy that some of the Rosies in our Michigan ARRA group are able to go to Washington and attend the ceremony. “
To kick off a year of centenarian birthdays, our ‘Rosie’ Marge Haskins was queen for the day, and Rep. Debbie Dingell stopped by to celebrate with out American Rosie the Riveter Association group.
The American Rosie the Riveter Association (ARRA) Michigan Willow Run Chapter is so proud to partner with the Automotive Hall of Fame to feature Rosie the Riveter Clara Doutly in their new exhibit titles “Achievement: African Americans in Automotive.” The exhibit will be on display throughout 2023.

Tea With Rosie at the elegant Newton of Ypsilanti was a great success! The American Rosie the Riveter Association (ARRA) Michigan Willow Run Chapter partnered with Chef Allison Anastasio to bring our WWII Rosies and Veterans together with the Ypsilanti community.

We all enjoyed a picnic with ‘Rosie’ Clara on Belle Isle and admired the lovely bench dedicated in her honor by the Ford Motor Company.

Our ARRA Chapter participates every year by bringing WWII Rosies and Vets to Ypsilanti Township’s Rosie the Riveter Craft Show! We share a picnic lunch, and enjoy the day together!
American Rosie the Riveter Association (ARRA) Michigan Willow Run Chapter Rosebuds gathered in Canton, MI to see ‘Rosebud’ Sylvia Bandyke’s photography exhibit there. We had a wonderful time sipping lattes while Sylvia shared her work with us!
We dedicated 3 new rosebushes at the Dearborn Rosie the Riveter Rose Garden. Two of the Rosies honored with a rosebush were living and present! Other Rosies and WWII Vets from our group were there to help celebrate.
